I also have no idea what is happening with V, but I’m certainly excited to find out. Finally, a break for the Brotherhood when it comes to going after the lessers. The new powers that develop throughout this book are pretty cool. Though I did enjoy that this book had a similar vibe to Zsadist and Bella’s story in that while the couple found happiness, those on the sidelines were sort of left to figure out what they should do with themselves. I wasn’t taken with the romance between Butch and Marissa. So by this time we’re really all rooting for something, anything, good to happen to Butch. He had also fallen hard for an upper class vampire, Marissa and been rejected, equally as hard. He’s had a rough life and though, starting to see the Brotherhood as his family, still feels like an outsider. Butch just sort of started hanging with the Brotherhood and never stopped. Butch has been the oddball human in the group since any other humans in the house are mated to one of the Brotherhood. We finally learn why V had visions of Butch.
